WANA, Aug 1: Militants continued their attacks on security forces in the South Waziristan region and fired rockets at the scouts camp here on Saturday night, causing slight damage.

Sources said at least five missiles were fired at the camp in the volatile region near the Afghan border where a night curfew had been imposed.

Rockets landed in different areas, causing slight damage, the sources said and added that there was no report of any casualty. One rocket hit the helipad, while another exploded near the building of the area hospital, slightly damaging its ambulance.

The political authorities had clamped a night curfew in several areas of South Waziristan last week to ward off missile and rocket attacks on security forces and government installations.

RADIO TRANSMISSION: According to APP, the recently damaged radio station of Wana in the South Waziristan Agency has been repaired and transmission has been restored, political administration official said.
