GRAND BLANC, Aug 1: Vijay Singh shot a seven-under-par 65 to break a three-way tie and open a two-stroke lead after the third round of the Buick Open on Saturday.
Fijian Singh, the world number three, is on 18-under-par 198, ahead of John Daly, who shot a 66 to stand at 16-under 200.
World number one Tiger Woods (66) and Paraquay's Carlos Franco (67) are tied for third at 15-under 201, while Sweden's Daniel Chopra (66) is alone in fifth place at 14-under 202. Singh was tied with Billy Andrade (73) and Jim Furyk (70) over 36 holes, but separated himself from the pair and the field with the day's lowest round.

DONALD STAYS AHEAD
MALMO: Britain's Luke Donald stayed on course for his first title when he took a three-shot lead after the third round of the Scandinavian Masters on Saturday. Playing in only his ninth European Tour event as a professional, the 26-year-old hit bogeys in his last two holes but still stayed ahead of the field going into final round.
Donald had holed out for an eagle-two at the 13th and not dropped a shot for 46 holes.
