ISLAMABAD, Aug 1: Prime Minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussian and Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi met Finance Minister Shaukat Aziz at his residence on Sunday.

They condemned the terrorist attack on Mr Aziz in Fatehjang and reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to continuing its fight against terrorism. Expressing their outrage over the attack on the minister, they said "these cowardly acts will not deter us from our fight against terror."

Such dastardly acts are against the tenets and teachings of Islam, they added. Mr Aziz said "I am thankful to God for giving me courage to face this troublesome situation with confidence and patience." "My determination and resolve to serve Pakistan is increased after this incident," he added. -APP
