Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi presided over a meeting in Lahore. Ministers Raja basharat, Arshad Khan Lodhi, Chaudhry Zaheeruddin, Chaudhry Muhammad Iqbal, Abdul Aleem Khan and Senator Kamil Ali Agha were among the participants.

The chief minister said the PML was playing an important role in the promotion of parliamentary democracy. It was for this reason, he said, that office-bearers and members of other parties were joining the ruling party. He said the prime minister had set up committees on different subjects. It was decided that the party would resume the publication of its newsletter.
