JACOBABAD, June 20: Activists of the People's Party Parliamentarians continued protest in Sindh districts on Sunday against the killing of PPP leader Munawar Suharwardi.

A strike was observed in Jacobabad district. Shops and business centres remained closed. The PPP activists staged a rally which was addressed by Aslam Abro, Sattar Brohi, Shamim Pathan and others.

NAWABSHAH: Two separate procession were taken out by the PPP activists against the killing of Munawar Suharwardi. A procession started from the PPP office in Gharibabad which after marching through Sakrand road, Chakra Bazar, Mohni Bazar and Kutchehry road reached the press club.

Another procession led by MPA Ghulam Qadir Chandio started from the PPP office which reached at the Old Nako. The activists blocked the Nawabshah-Sakrand road for half an hour.

They demanded that killers of PPP leader be arrested. They alleged that the government had failed to provide security to the people and control law and order.

MIRPURKHAS: Activists of PPP observed a token hunger at the Post office chowk to protest against the murder of PPP leader Munawar Suharwardi. PPP district president Noor Hassan Chandio, Shams Shaikh advocate, Niaz Baloch, Malik Yaseen, Ishaque Narejo, Khan Mohammad Baloch, Chhuttal Wassan, Anwar Rajar and others observed token hunger strike.

Speaking on the occasion, PPP leaders Shams Shaikh advocate, Hari Ram, Kishor Lal and Ishaque Narejo deplored that the government had failed to control the law and order so it should be suspended.

BADIN: A complete strike was observed in Badin town on Sunday against the murder of Pakistan People's Party leader Munawar Suharwardy. All shops and business centres remained closed in the town. Activists of the PPP led by city president, Sattar Memon, had took out a rally on Saturday and appealed to the people to keep their business closed on Sunday.
