ISLAMABAD, May 21: The British Council has announced that after temporary suspension of its publics services across Pakistan from Monday, people can make general enquiries about the Council’s services at alternate public points.

A statement issued here said: “The British Council regrets any inconvenience caused to the customers and hopes its offices will reopen as soon as practically possible.”

“The offices, which are undergoing a security upgrade, are expected to reopen when the arrangements are in place,” it said. It said the GCE (O-level and A-level) examinations and ILETS tests would take place according to the schedule.

According to the statement, general enquiries about examinations, attestation of documents can be made by visiting the following locations:

“Enquiries on studying in the UK can be made on the contact numbers or with commercial student advisory organizations, details of whom are available on the website: www.britishcouncil.org.pk ,” it added.

The library members in possession of borrowed material (books, videos) should retain these and return them to the library when it re-opens. There will no fine for the late returns.
