GUJRANWALA, May 21: The cold war between tehsil Nazim and Naib Nazim over the issue of executive powers ended when local government secretary intervened here on Tuesday.

Naib Nazim Ehsanullah Chaudhry and his group had reportedly boycotted the council’s meeting two weeks back while Nazim Babu Javed Ahmad continued proceedings.

On Tuesday, the local secretary requested the tehsil Nazim and his deputy to end their rift in the interest of council affairs.

EXPORTERS: The local exporters should exchange information with European Union traders to keep themselves abreast with times.

This was stated by SME bank President Qaisar Naseem at a seminar on promotion of export in EU held at local chamber of commerce and industry on Tuesday.

He said some experts from Holland were invited to the seminar for exchanging useful information regarding trade ties between Pakistan and EU. — Correspondent
