KARACHI, May 21: The Sindh government’s selection board has cleared 405 officers in BS-18 for promotion to BS-19. They include 381 doctors, both male and female, who were also cleared for promotion to the post of BS-19.
Besides, in the health department 11 doctors were cleared for posting as associate professor in grade 19 in the subject of medicines, ophthalmology, ENT, paediatrics, pathology and surgery.
The provincial selection board-II, which met here on Tuesday with chief secretary Javed Ashraf Hussain in the chair, considered cases of BP-18 grade officers of different departments and cleared them for promotion to next grade.
According to the department-wise breakdown, four officers of the communication and works department were cleared for posting as superintending engineer in grade 19, while four officers of the agriculture, livestock and fisheries department for posting as directors agriculture research, fisheries and agriculture marketing.
In local government, public health engineering and rural development, one officer was cleared for posting as member (civil) provincial election authority in grade BS-19 and in the home department one officer for posting as superintendent of police.
In the planning and development department two officers were cleared for the post of chief of section in BS-19 and one as technical adviser in BS-19, while in the labour and transport department one officer was promoted as joint director in BS- grade 19.
