Rs2.5m reward for clue

KARACHI, May 7: The Sindh government has announced a reward of Rs2.5 million for providing information about those involved in the blast at Sindh Madressatul Islam.

In a press release, the spokesman for provincial information department said that complete secrecy would be maintained regarding identification of the person, who provided any lead to the culprits.

Those who died in the blast included Syed Imdad Hussain, Altaf Hussain, Fazal Abbas, Zafar Abbas, Hasnain, Shakil, Nisar, Khuwaja Kumail, Arif Hussain, Mohammad Ahmed, Sabir Hussain and Ali Ahmed alias Zafar.

A senior police official said that two mutilated bodies remained unidentified. He said that more than 96 people were wounded in the blast, out of whom, 31 were shifted to Aga Khan Hospital and 39 were taken to Liaquat National Hospital. One patient was admitted to the Civil Hospital and three were taken to JPMC.

Eleven out of 39 patients, who were shifted to the LNH, were discharged after treatment. "We have provided free of cost treatment to 39 patients who landed here at emergency ward.

More than 50 doctors, seven surgery specialists, and more than 100 nursing staff attended these patients," Dr Shaukat Rajput, Assistant Medical Director told Dawn. He said that 28 patients were still admitted here and four of them were in serious condition.
