KARACHI, May 20: With regard to the installation of surveillance cameras in different parts of the city, a high-level meeting was held at the Governor House here on Monday with the Sindh Governor, Mohammedmian Soomro, in the chair.

Various suggestions were discussed at the meeting for coordinating and strengthening the system of cameras for use in the drive against crime.

A demonstration of the latest cameras was also held on the occasion.

The flow of traffic on Sharea Faisal and movement in different parts of the city was also shown at the Governor House.

It was stated that after the installation of these cameras, vehicles and people could be clearly identified and this will help towards curbing crime.

The governor also hoped that efforts would be intensified for checking criminal activities.

The meeting was also told that the installation of such cameras will also help monitor the violation of traffic rules.—APP
