Minor girl killed in accident

ISLAMABAD, May 19: A minor girl was killed on Sunday when a speeding car hit her in the limits of Golra police station.

Fatima, 3, was crossing a road when a speeding car (IDK-5578) hit her. She was taken to Pims but died of her injuries in the hospital.

Police have registered a case against the car driver and started investigation.

Meanwhile, Islamabad police arrested a drug trafficker and seized two kilograms of charas from his possession. The policemen at Pirwadhai Chowk stopped Asim Khan, resident of Mardan for checking. The police found two kilograms of charas in his bag and arrested him on drug-trafficking charge.

In another incident the police in its ongoing drive against illegal immigrants arrested three persons. The Margalla police arrested Tanzanians, Saleem and Yaqoob, and Abdul, a Rwandan national after they failed to show any legal documents.—PPI
