KARACHI: Boy commits suicide

KARACHI, May 19: A 13-year-old boy committed suicide in his home in Orangi Extension on Sunday.

The police said that Mohammed Naseem hanged himself from a ceiling fan in his house in Sector 14-C in Orangi Extension. The boy killed himself after his father scolded him, the police said.

The body was sent to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for post-mortem.

ROAD ACCIDENT: A young woman died in a road accident in Nazimabad on Sunday.

The police said that Kaniz Jehan, aged 25, was run over by a speeding bus of route 1-E (JA-0438) near Nadria bus stop in Nazimabad while walking across the main road.

She was rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where doctors pronounced her dead on arrival.

The police said that the bus driver escaped after the accident.
