NOWSHERA, March 17: Low-grade employees of the Cantonment Board, Risalpur, took out a protest procession against non-payment of salaries to them for the last four months.

The procession started from the Cantonment Board offices and, after marching through different roads in cantonment limits, terminated at the Station Headquarters, Engineer Centre, in the civil bazar in Risalpur.

The Class-IV employees chanted slogans against indifferent attitude of the Cantonment Board authorities and demanded of the Director-General of Military Lands and Cantonment to intervene in the matter.

The procession turned into a public meeting in the civil bazar, where leaders of the Class IV employees said that their families had been forced to starvation as they had not received salaries for the last four months. They demanded of the authorities concerned to direct the CB bosses to disburse salaries among the poor employees without further delay.
