BADIN: Woman criminally assaulted

BADIN, Feb 27: A woman, Ganga, 22, was allegedly criminally assaulted in the presence of her husband in her home in Adhori tail village on the Tando Bago-Jhuddo road on Thursday.

Ganga Kolhi was asleep in her home with other family members when three armed men entered her house at 12:30 and one of them, Sattar Mallah, criminally assaulted her.

When she screamed for help, the armed men threatened the inmates not to move and keep quiet. The accused after committing crime escaped. The Tando Bago police recorded an FIR against Sattar Mallah, Gulan Mallah, and one unidentified person and referred the victim to the civil hospital Badin for examination. The investigation police arrested the accused Sattar Mallah.

JSQM: Activists of the Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz continued their protest against the construction of Kalabagh dam and greater Thal canal. Scores of activists took out a procession and marched on the main roads and observed a sit-in on the Shah Latif road.
