RAWALPINDI, Feb 26: The local administration has made foolproof security arrangements for the day-night cricket match between India and Pakistan scheduled to be played on March 16 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

All facilities will be made available at the stadium for the players and cricket enthusiasts. A meeting was held in this connection to take stock of the overall arrangements for the match.

Acting District Nazim Raja Javed Akhlas presided over the meeting which was also attended by SSP special branch Nasir Khan Durrani, Tehsil municipal officer Khawaja Javed Latif and other officers of the local administration.

The acting Nazim said in our capacity as host, "we will provide all facilities to our Indian guests and visiting media persons. Special committees have been constituted which will ensure completion of all arrangements in collaboration with the departments concerned.

The meeting was informed that the beautification and repair work had been completed in the stadium. All necessary steps are being taken to ensure full security and other facilities, it was informed. Representatives of Cricket Association and officers of different departments also gave presentations about the arrangements they have made so far.
