KARACHI, Feb 15: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan has welcomed the philanthropists' cooperation in the health sector and assured them regarding the government's positive approach, inculcating confidence amongst donors.

He said this while speaking with members of a delegation of the Pakistan Eye Bank Society and also while chairing a meeting in connection with Burns' Centre of the Civil Hospital Karachi here on Sunday.

He also assured cooperation in the campaign for securing cornea donation and announced a contribution of one million rupees in this regard. He assured members of the delegation that he will raise the issue of legislation for cadaver transplantation with the president and the prime minister. Presiding over the meeting in connection with the CHK's burns ward, he approved measures to upgrade the ward. -APP
