SHEIKHUPURA, Aug 29: Ninty prisoners involved in petty crimes were released from the district prison here on Friday.
District and sessions judge Talib Husain Baloch, who is also chairman of human rights committee, visited the jail.
The judge examined the security measures adopted by the jail authorities after the Sialkot incident. He urged the jail superintendent to provide every possible facility to the prisoners.
He also received applications from prisoners who claimed that they had been implicated by their rivals in false and fabricated cases. The judge assured them every possible assistance.
The judge also examined the food provided to prisoners and expressed his satisfaction over its quality. The cleanliness arrangements in the jail were also found satisfactory.
