HYDERABAD, Aug 29: Amna Siddiqui, a girl who had undergone a successful heart surgery in Bangalore, India, died after passing the first 48 critical hours after the operation without any complications.
She has been buried in Bangalore with the help of friends of her family there.
Arif Soneja, first cousin of the deceased’s father, Khatri Mohammad Siddiqui Soneja, on Friday told Dawn over telephone that the family had gone to India on Aug 20 over the newly-opened Lahore-New Delhi bus service. They had been advised by a Karachi-based paediatric cardiologist, Dr Kaleemuddin Aziz, to seek an appointment with Dr Rajesh Sharma of the Narayana Hospital in Bangalore.—Correspondent
