APNS golden jubilee

KARACHI, Jan 20: The executive committee of the All Pakistan Newspapers Society on Monday finalized a detailed programme to celebrate the society's golden jubilee which will be held in different provinces till March.

At a meeting held under the chairmanship of Mr Arif Nizami, the committee decided to hold functions in Lahore and Peshawar next month with a concluding session in Karachi in March.

The executive committee also decided to hold the 17th annual awards ceremony for the year 2001-2002 at the end of March. The committee condoled the death of Syed Abid Ali, former DGPR, Punjab, and former chief executive, BCCI Foundation.
