KARACHI, Jan 19: The Khidmat-i-Khalq Foundation and the SUN, a British welfare organization, jointly organized free medical camps in 14 districts of Sindh on Sunday and Monday.

The doctors of MQM Medical Aid Committee examined thousands of people, including children and women. They were provided with free medicines as well, claimed a press release issued by the Muttahida Qaumi Movement here on Monday.

It stated that thousands of people visited the camps set up in Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Mirpurkhas, Mithi, Sanghar, Nawabshah, Thatta, Larkana, Dadu, Pano Aqil, Naushero Feroze, Ghotki, Badin, Khairpur.

Meanwhile, in a joint statement issued here on Monday, some MPAs of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement asserted that their party would continue to raise voice against the black traditions being practised in Sindh.

They further stated that the Muttahida would keep making efforts for elimination of feudal system from the country. The MPAs said that when the Muttahida protested against the death sentence awarded to Shaista Almani by a jirga, which was unIslamic and inhuman, the so-called religio-political parties issued statements favouring the feudal lords. Such parties by opposing Shaista Almani had proved that they were against the oppressed and support the culprits, added the statement. - PPI
