UBL, SSGC shares' sale soon

KARACHI, Jan 12: The government will shortly offer the shares of the United Bank, Sui Southern Gas Company, Pakistan Petroleum, and Kot Addu Power Plant for sale.

This was announced by the Federal Minister for Privatization and Investment, Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, on Monday at the media launch of a multinational firm celebrations of its 75 years in the region.

Dr Shaikh explained that the privatization plan of the government ran on two tracks: share offering and strategic sale. "Work is being done on the strategic sale of the Pakistan State Oil, Faisalabad Electricity Board, Jamshoro Electric Supply Corporation, NIT, Faletti's Hotel, Allied Bank and Karachi Electric Supply Corporation," he said.
