RAWALPINDI, Jan 1: As many as 41 localities in Rawalpindi are most vulnerable to flood, caused by Nullah Leh and its tributaries during the monsoon, reveals a study conducted by the Nespak.

Those, who conducted study, had also taken help from the Stormwater Drainage Master Plan 1994. Various tributaries, before joining Nullah Leh, could wreak havoc in 23 areas, the study shows.

The areas include Nadeem Colony, Ziaul Haq Colony, Javid Colony, Muslim Colony, Usmanpura, Dhoke Charaghdin, Mukha Sing State, Satellite Town, Muslim Town, Sadiqabad, Dhoke Elahi Bakhsh, Dhoke Mirza, Tehmasapabad, Mohllah Ahmed Ali Shah, Mohallah Rasool Nagar, Ferozpura, Fourth Road, Rehmanabad Chowk, Chaklala Road, Murree Road and Kuri Road.

The study shows that Nullah Leh can create trouble in 18 areas during the rainy season. The areas that can be affected are: Chaman Zar Colony, Bhoosa Godown, Gawalmandi, Dhoke Dalal, Amarpura, Moti Mahal, Saidpur Road, Katarian, Ratta Amral, Dhoke Ratta, Malpur, Christian Colony, Angatpura, Mohallah Imam Bara, Mohallah Airanpura and Dhoke Hassu.
