KARACHI: Security guard shot dead

KARACHI, Dec 31: A security guard was shot dead by unknown motorcyclists in PECHS on Wednesday evening. Police said that Umar Haider, 30, was on duty outside a bungalow in Block-6, PECHS , when two armed motorcyclists approached him. The suspects grappled with the guard and fled after killing him on the spot, police said.

His body was shifted to the JPMC for postmortem. According to the police, the bungalow was in the use of a showbiz company. Police suspect some personal enmity as a possible motive behind the murder. The victim hailed from Swat, they added.
