KARACHI, May 13: The Sui Southern Gas Company and Muslim Commercial Bank signed on Monday an agreement for the payment of gas bills through a wide network of automated teller machines (ATMs).

The managing director of the SSGC and the MCB president signed the agreement which would facilitate gas consumers to pay their bills without standing in queue outside banks.

The facility will be operational by the end of June. The MCB has about 60 ATM counters in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana and Quetta. More than 250,000 ATM card holders of MCB would use the facility.

The SSGC has about 1.6 million consumers in Sindh and Balochistan.—APP
