Road blocked as trailer breaks down

SUKKUR, Dec 20: Hundreds of trailers, trucks, buses and wagons were stranded on Sukkur-Shikarpur road near Mehboob Goth, 20km from here, on Saturday night as a trailer blocked the road after its tie-rod broke.

When the Punjab-bound trailer from Karachi reached near Mehboob Goth, its tie-rod broke and it blocked the road. As a result, vehicular traffic between Sukkur and Shikarpur was suspended.

No step was taken to remove the trailer from the middle of the road due to non-availability of a heavy crane.
