Simly Dam water supply increased

ISLAMABAD, May 12: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to provide an additional two million gallons of water from Simly Dam daily to the city.

The city’s water supply from Simly Dam will be increased from 20 to 22 million gallons a day (mgd).

The CDA expects the water stored at Simly Dam to fulfil the needs of residents till July.

Experts hope that the melting glaciers will help increase the water inflow in reservoirs in the next few weeks.—PPI
