QUETTA, May 12: Balochistan Government has dismissed 20 leaders and officer-bearers of the Government Teachers Association (GTA) and All Pakistan Clerks Association (Saqi-Group) from government service, with immediate effect.

An Official notification issued late on Saturday night says that the Balochistan Education Department has sacked nine teachers and 11 clerks, as they were failed to resume their duties, despite issuing show-cause notices to them by the authorities concerned.

They could appeal to the competent authority within 15 days, against their dismissal.

Terminated office-bearers of the teachers’ body include its President Haji Abdul Ghafar, Vice-President Mohammad Ramzan Baloch, Secretary-General Ahmed Khan Ronjah, Deputy Secretary-General Maula Dad Tareen, Finance Secretary Munir Ahmed Kurd, Nausharwan Kurds, Hafiz Ghulam Mohammad Rehmatullah Sabir, Syed Inayat Shah and Qari Abdul Rehman.

Sacked officers-bearers of the All Pakistan Clerks Association include body’s President Rasheed Baloch, Haji Mohammad Akbar, Sajjad Hussain, Ali Mohammad Tareen, Arbab Jamil, Naseer Ahmed, Mohammad Kahn, Arbab Nasarullah, Moha, Essa and Gulfaraz Khan.

The notification alleged that the dismissed persons had provoked the teachers and clerks of the Education Department to observe the illegal and unlawful strike, which badly affected the students studies.
