HYDERABAD, May 12: Hyderabad District Police Officer Moazzam Jah has sent six police officers on forced retirement under the new police ordinance.

The decision has been taken following public complaints against some police officers for their failure to control crime and alleged misuse of power.

Those sent on forced retirement were identified as sub-inspector of police (SIP) Ghulam Nabi Sario, SIP Mohammad Abbas Pathan, SIP Mohammad Jumman Kumbhar, ASI Piar Ali Rajpar, ASI Rana Pervez Iqbal and ASI Syed Mukhtar Hussain.

In addition to this, one year increment of five police officers has been forfeited and they have also been censured.
