KARACHI, Dec 12: Four ships carrying containers, edible oil and furnace oil were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a Port Qasim Authority (PQA) press release on Friday.

In the meantime two containers ships also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Seven ships, London Senator, CGM Puget, Makran, Gemini-I, Rose-II, Process and Sea Sky, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, edible oil and furnace oil.

A cargo volume of 53,972 tons comprising 45,274 tons of import and 8,698 tons of export tonnage was handled.

London Senator and CGM Puget sailed out.
