KARACHI, May 11: The FIA Immigration authorities on Friday arrested five persons for trying to travel abroad from Karachi airport on fake documents.

“Three persons identified as Muhammed Ijaz, Muhammed Zafar and Husain Tauqir Ahmed were proceeding to the USA, Italy and Paris. Iqbal and Mohammed Afzal were bound for Riyadh and Jeddah,” said Javed Mughal, assistant director of the FIA Immigration, at the airport.

He said these passengers had passports that had sophisticated forgery of names, photographs and visas.

They were all arrested before they could board their respective planes.—APP
