KANPUR, Nov 20: Indian selectors recalled Sachin Tendulkar into a 15-man one-day squad on Thursday for the next two games of the home series against England.

The senior batsman, rested for the first three games following India’s 2-0 home Test series win over Australia early this month, last played limited-overs cricket when India won a tri-series in Australia in March.

The 35-year-old missed the previous one-day series win in Sri Lanka in August because of an injury.

India lead the current series 3-0 after Thursday’s 16-run win in the truncated third game under the Duckworth-Lewis method.

The remaining matches in the England series will be played in Bangalore (Sunday), Cuttack (Nov 26), Guwahati (Nov 29) and New Delhi (Dec 2).

The selectors also recalled all-rounder Irfan Pathan into the squad to join elder brother Yusuf, omitting batsman Murali Vijay and struggling left-arm paceman R.P.Singh.
