DADU, Nov 12: Journalists took out a rally here on Wednesday in protest against Dadu police for excluding the name of an accused from the murder case of TV journalist Azeem Leghari and his two relatives.

Journalists took out a rally from the press club to Naun Chowk where they staged a demonstration for an hour. Later, they observed token hunger strike outside Dadu Press Club.They alleged that due to political pressure, the name of main accused Nusrat Leghari was excluded from the FIR of murder case of journalist.

Earlier, Dadu investigation police excluded the name of Nusrat Leghari from the FIR of murder case.

SP investigation Sikandar Mangi told Dawn that three PPP MPAs Syed Ghulam Shah Jilani, Imran Leghari and Dr Sajeela Leghari came to his office and recorded their statement that Nusrat Leghari was not involved in the murder case of Azeem Leghari and two others, as according to them the accused was with them in Karachi at the time of the killings.

ROBBERY: Around 20 passengers of a Radhan bound bus were deprived of their valuables near Butt Serai here on Wednesday.

A Radhan-bound bus carrying 20 passengers, including eight women was on its way from Mehar.

When it reached near Butt Serai, armed men hijacked the bus with passengers.

The outlaws took the bus to an area of Badah police station and after looting passengers set them free.

Driver Hubdar Bulhro told reporters that as outlaws captured the bus, they continued to beat passengers and bus staff.

Police sources said that dacoits Anwar Khoso and Gul Bahar Mugheri were involved in the incident. The mater was reported to police.
