KARACHI, Nov 12: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Wednesday presided over a meeting held at the chief minister’s house to review various ongoing development schemes being carried out by different departments under the Annual Development Programme.
Briefing the meeting, the additional chief secretary for planning and development, Nazar Hussain Mahar, said Rs67 billion had been allocated for the ADP in the 2008-09 budget and the amount had been revised to Rs48.966 billion, including Rs37.949 billion for the provincial ADP, Rs11.017 billion for the district governments, Rs5.277 billion for the foreign-aided projects and Rs0.446 billion for the DERA projects.
The meeting also made detailed deliberations on the ongoing and fresh projects of all departments. The participants were apprised of new projects being executed under a total of 723 schemes, out of which 568 were approved ones while 155 were unapproved.—APP
