KARACHI, May 10: The Board of Intermediate Education has asked the centre superintendents to ensure the commencement of examinations on time at their respective centres.

Sources in the board said that the BIE Controller of Examinations, while taking notice of reports pertaining to late commencement of examinations at some of the centres, on Thursday, issued directives that in case of delay in the commencement of examinations, the candidates must be compensated and given extra time to solve their papers.

In case the delay is of more than 15 minutes, centre superintendents should take measures in order to save the candidates from loss, added the source.

It was further learnt that there was no restriction on the use of extra copies (supplements).
