Man, wife killed in road accident

RAWALPINDI, Oct 12: A man and his wife were killed while their daughter was injured when their car collided with another vehicle in the jurisdiction of Chauntra police on Sunday, police said.

The accident took place when Mansab Khan, his wife Shaheen Akhtar and their daughter Hajira Bibi were traveling to Mohra village on their car (FDK-9909) when it collided with another vehicle (KG-095) coming from the opposite direction. Mansab Khan and his wife died on the spot while their daughter was critically injured.

The victims were shifted to District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) where Hajira Bibi is stated to be in critical condition.

Police said the occupants of the other car managed to escape from the scene.
