SHIKARPUR, Sept 29: Sindh National Front Chairman Mumtaz Ali Bhutto said on Monday that the present rulers who had been voted into power by people had completely failed to honour the commitments they had made during electioneering.
Mr Bhutto said at an Iftar dinner hosted in his honour by the party’s district president and senior leaders at Saddar Muhalla that Benazir Bhutto had sacrificed her life for people through restoration of real democracy and not to provide a chance to PPP leaders to become ministers.
He said that the present rulers had misguided and misled people to perpetuate their rule. Without a strong opposition, the government would not be able to do good because the stability of democratic process could not be achieved without it, he said.
