KARACHI, Sept 28: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said that anti-state elements are busy hatching conspiracies to harm the democratic government but the government, with the power of people, will succeed in foiling their nefarious designs.
He strongly condemned the Sunday bomb attacks in Quetta and Swat and advised the masses to keep a close eye on saboteurs and terrorists.
He also asked the planning department to monitor all development project and welfare schemes being implemented by the government.
The chief minister was speaking at a briefing given to him by Additional Chief Secretary, Planning and Development, Nazar Hussain Mehar about the ongoing development projects on Sunday.
Mr Shah was informed that all the projects were being implemented in line with the Pakistan People’s Party’s manifesto and in accordance with the wishes of the party’s assassinated chairperson, Benazir Bhutto.
He told the officials concerned to ensure timely completion of these projects and ensure that the quality and standards were also maintained.
He noted that all these projects and the policies being pursued by the government were aimed at improving the quality of life of the common man. He expressed the view that the policies would help alleviate poverty in the country, besides ensuring all basic amenities for the masses.
