KARACHI, Sept 20: Aurora Football Club managed another win when their striker Wali Mohammad scored the only goal against Gulshan Football Club to beat them 1-0 in KASB Premier League Football’s 35th match played at the CDGK Stadium on Friday night.

Aurora FC’s strikers Mansoor Mohammad, Amiruddin, Mohammad Arif and Saddam Hussein along with midfielders Aftab Ahmed and Mohammad Iftikhar kept their opponents under constant pressure from the very start.

Not only did they manage the game’s lone goal and decider before the conclusion of the first half, they did so spectacularly on a free kick awarded to them when their skipper Mohammad Amin was tripped by Gulshan’s defender Faqir Mohammad inside the penalty box.

The resulting kick taken by Aurora’s striker Wali Mohammad in the 36th minute spun its way into the goal leaving behind a bemused Gulshan FC goalkeeper Adnan. Despite many thrilling moments in the second half, the 1-0 score line at interval remained so till the blowing of the final whistle.

Yellow cards were also awarded to Aurora’s Aftab Ahmed and Mohammad Iftikhar and Gulshan FC’s Naveed Alam by referee Mohammad Ashraf during the match.

Aurora FC now have 10 points from their five matches while Gulshan FC have one after playing four.
