SUKKUR, May 7: The Zila Naib Nazim, Iqbal Dawood, expressed his concern over the inhuman attitude of the doctors of the Civil Hospital, Larkana, who did not provide medical aid to two serious victims of Sukkur incident, for seven hours.
He demanded of the provincial minister for Health and the Sindh governor to take action against the doctors.
He said that although doctors were requested repeatedly to give proper medical aid to the victims, they did not pay any heed to the requests.
Mr Dawood has sent a telegram to the Sindh governor and the provincial minister for Health informing them about the attitude of the doctors.
In his statement, he said that the EDO (Health), Sukkur, had sent two serious victims to the hospital along with a duty doctor of the hospital at about 6pm on Monday but till 1am no medical aid was provided to the patients.
The relatives of the patients informed Zila Nazim Syed Nasir Hussain Shah about the attitude of doctors who contacted the provincial minister for health and talked to senior officials of Larkana hospital who provided medical aid to the patients.
DISTRIBUTION: Zila Nazim Sukkur Syed Nasir‘ Hussain Shah distributed an amount of Rs350,000 at the ratio of Rs50,000 per head among the parents and relatives of seven children, who died in the building collapse at Bunder road, Sukkur, on Sunday night.
The district government has provided the amount.
During his visit to the site of the incident Zila Nazim witnessed unmanaged electric wiring and electricity meters installed by Hesco, Sukkur.
He asked the DCO to look into the matter immediately.
Zila Naib Nazim Iqbal Dawood, Taluka Nazim Syed Kazim Ali Shah and Sukkur DCO Nisar Ahmed Siddiqi were also present on the occasion.
