KARACHI, Aug 24: The Hindu community across the city celebrated the festival of Janam Ashtami, marking the birth of Lord Krishna, with religious fervour on Sunday.
Devotees offered special prayers in various temples. The major congregations were held in the Shri Swami Narayan Temple, M.A. Jinnah Road, and a temple in Soldiers Bazaar area where Hindu clergymen delivered sermons.
Devotees sang bhajans and religious songs. They prayed for the solidarity and integrity of Pakistan.
