Sri Lanka plans expo

KARACHI, Aug 13: Sri Lanka is holding early next year a single-country exhibition in Pakistan that will have added attraction of cultural programmes and food festival.

This was disclosed by Sri Lankan High Commissioner Dr W.B. Dorakumbore in a meeting with Mohibullah Shah, Chief Executive of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan, here on Wednesday.

An e-mail release said that the Sri Lankan envoy expressed the desire for importing sports and surgical goods from Pakistan and set up joint ventures in gem industry. The TDAP chief expressed support for setting up joint venture projects. He extended invitation to Sri Lanka to participate in upcoming ‘Expo Pakistan’ to be held from October 27 to 30.
