KARACHI, Aug 7: Seven ships carrying base oil, containers and to load cement are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where seven ships, APL Dalian, City of Xiamen to unload and load containers, Le Vi, Thor Elisabeth, Admire Coral to unload and load general cargo, and Crystal Seas to offload coal and Ema Querida to offload chemicals were berthed after the departure of six.The departing ships were led by BBC Brazil, Cape Ferrol, Devi Glory, APL Chicago, Eltania and Al-Farabi, while City of Xiamen, Hyderabad, Red Sea Spirit, APL Dalian, EMMA Querida, Admire Coral, Vinalines Saigon, Le Yi, and Limari are due to sail out on Friday.

A total tonnage of 107,000 tons comprising 32,217 tons of export cargo including 4,972 tons of rice and 75,027 tons of import tonnage was handled on Thursday. The following ships are due on Friday: Chemroad Echo with base oil, Soon Fu, Kota Perdana, Kapitan Byankin, Eric P. Titus, Hyundai Duke with containers and Caribbean Carrier to load 16,000 tons of cement.
