44 prisoners released

VEHARI, July 29: Forty-four prisoners were released from the district jail on Tuesday on the orders of a district and sessions judge.

District and Sessions Judge Tahir Pervez Butt ordered the release of 44 prisoners involved in petty crimes during his visit to the jail, jail superintendent Qadeer Alam told newsmen.

The judge also visited the jail kitchen, checked the meal, met various prisoners and listened to their complaints.
