QUETTA, July 26: Two members of law-enforcement agencies were killed and four others injured in separate incidents in Quetta and Pir Koh on Saturday.

An FC man identified as Rahimullah was killed and another injured in a bomb blast in the Pir Koh area.

Police sources said the victims were on routine patrol when the blast took place.

“It was a locally-made bomb planted on the roadside,” the sources said, adding the injured FC man, Mohammad Fayyaz, was taken to Sui hospital.

In the other incident, constable Khalid was shot dead by unknown attackers at the Masjid road.

Fayyaz was on duty when the armed men on a motorcycle opened fire. He received two bullets to his head.

“It was a targeted killing,” Quetta Capital Police Officer Mohammad Akbar told Dawn, adding that investigation was in progress.

Meanwhile, three members of security forces were injured when their vehicle overturned in the Dera Bugti area on Saturday morning.
