NAWABSHAH, July 12: A nazim of PML-Q backed Awami Ittehad has accused the government of political victimisation and demanded withdrawal of false cases against him and other activists of his party.

Speaking at a press conference after holding a protest demonstration at Doulatpur press club on Saturday Nazim UC Khar Mumtaz Dahiri alleged that he and other PML-Q workers were being victimised by PPP government.

He said that a number of false cases were lodged against him and on directives of the special assistant to chief minister of Sindh by Nawabshah police and the irrigation department.

He said he had approached the Sindh high court in Karachi and filed a petition for which notices had been served on them to appear in court on July 22.

He claimed on Saturday that the special assistant to chief minister and his brothers came to his village and threatened them.
