KARACHI, July 12: Six vessels carrying containers, coal and general cargo are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was on the lower side as only three ships, Hanjin Chittagong, Industrial Diamond and Sinar Agra were berthed to unload and load containers after the departure of five.
The departing ships were led by Mol Affinity, Kota Ekspres, Thor Swan, Nicolaos-A and Bulk Arrow, while Hanjin Chittagong, Blenga Fusion, Sinar Agra, Rosy Falcon, Selendang Perroata and Jakarta Express are due to sail out on Sunday.
Owing to lesser berthing, the total tonnage handled on Saturday also fell to 84,614 tons comprising 42,877 tons of export tonnage including 6,156 tons of cement and 12,600 tons of clinker and 41,737 tons of import cargo.
The following ships are due on Sunday: Itha Bhum, Oel Transworld, Oel Trust, Global Express with containers, Loannis-K with 39,000 tons of coal and Chi Feng Kou with general cargo.
