KARACHI, June 8: A 62-year-old man was shot dead on Sunday in Gulistan-i-Jauhar, police and hospital sources said.

Police have booked Balochi-stan Minister for Finance Asim Kurd and three others on the complaint of the victim’s son. They said the victim, identified as Fay-az Hussain, son of Fazal Hussain, was the controller at the Balochis-tan House situated in PECHS.

Gulistan-i-Jauhar police said that Atif Fayaz reported to police that the suspects — Asim Kurd, Shabbir, Khadim Hussain, and Ashfaque — had given his father two pistols to keep in his custody.

However, he said, the weapons were stolen and the suspects kept on asking his father to return them. He said that his father left the Balochistan House, at around 9.15am to meet the suspects.

His body was found near Bilal Estate Agency in Gulistan-i-Jauhar’s Block 7. It was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for autopsy.
