ISLAMABAD, June 5: President Pervez Musharraf has said that the strength of a country depends on strong economy, defence, quality of human resource and management skills of its leadership.

Speaking at the second convocation of the National Defence University here on Thursday, the president said that deficiency in any of these aspects could weaken a country.

He said that the government in general needed to ensure security and economic development of the state and wellbeing of the people. “Stability, progress and economic growth are vital to progress and development of a state.”

He said that if the economy of a country was not stable, the desired objectives of development and progress could not be achieved.
