LPG price increased

LAHORE, May 20: Retail price of liquefied petroleum gas went up by Rs2 per kg on Tuesday after an increase in ex-plant price by the marketing companies.

The refilling costs of domestic and commercial cylinders increased by Rs20 and Rs80, respectively.

LPG Distributors Association chairman Irfan Khokhar said the marketing companies had raised the price for the fourth time over the past 20 days without any justification. He said the latest increase had been made without any price increase by the producers.

He appealed to Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani to take notice of profiteering by the LPG marketing companies.

He said domestic consumers and rickshaw drivers were hit by frequent increase in LPG prices.
