KARACHI, May 20: Three ships scheduled to load/offload containers, chemicals and diesel oil were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, two more ships carrying containers and furnace oil also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Seven ships, Maersk Iowa, Bernice, Sao Paulo, Bunga Melati Satu, Overseas Rein Mar, Yanaseni and Kaghan, were currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, palm oil, diesel oil, chemicals and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 68,184 tons comprising 56,337 tons of import and 11,847 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Chrisopgi Lady, Maersk Iowa and Borenice sailed out while V Kaghan and Oversea Rein mar were expected depart on Tuesday.
